Custom Millwork & Made-to-Order Mouldings
Trinity Doors operates a custom millwork shop in Vidor, Texas, running made-to-order mouldings and profiles for cabinet shops, contractors, builders, and homeowners across Texas and Louisiana. When a stock profile will not do — because the design calls for something specific, or because you need to match trim that already exists — we cut the profile you actually need. Short runs are welcome, and we can reproduce an existing profile by matching a sample.

Custom Millwork vs. Stock Mouldings
There are two ways to buy trim from Trinity Doors. Stock mouldings are the standard profiles we keep on the shelf — crown, cove, base, light rail, and similar — described on our cabinet mouldings and moldings page and ready to pick up. Custom millwork is different: it is made to order, cut to a profile you specify or supply, in the species and dimensions your project requires.
You want custom millwork when a stock profile does not exist for what you are building, when a designer or architect has specified a particular profile, or when you need trim that matches a run of moulding already installed in a home. Instead of settling for the closest catalog match, custom millwork gives you the exact shape — which is often the difference between trim that looks original and trim that looks added-on.
If you are not sure which path fits your project, call (409) 783-0600 and describe what you need. Many jobs use a mix — stock profiles where they work, custom millwork where they do not.
Knife Matching & Reproducing Existing Trim
One of the most valuable things a millwork shop can do is reproduce a profile that is no longer available. Older homes, additions, and repairs constantly run into this: a section of crown, casing, or base needs to be replaced or extended, but the original moulding was discontinued years ago and nothing off the shelf matches its shape.
Trinity Doors handles this by matching the profile — taking a physical sample or a clean end-grain tracing of the existing trim and setting up our moulder to cut new stock in the same shape. Bring us a short offcut of the original moulding, and we can evaluate whether we can reproduce it and mill new material to match. The closer the sample, the closer the match.
This capability matters for remodelers and homeowners restoring or extending trim, and for builders matching new work to existing millwork on a renovation. As with everything we make, we mill the material — installation is yours to handle.
Short Runs Welcome
Not every project needs a truckload of moulding. Sometimes you need forty feet of a custom profile for one room, or a handful of lineal feet to patch a repair. Many suppliers treat small custom orders as a nuisance or price them out of reach. Trinity Doors welcomes short runs — we set up the knives, mill what you need, and get you back to your project.
Custom millwork does involve setup, so it makes sense to plan the run for what the job actually requires and to talk through the profile and quantity before we cut. When you call, we will discuss the profile, the species, the footage, and the lead time so there are no surprises. For a one-room job or a single repair, that conversation usually takes just a few minutes.
Whether you are a shop needing a specialty profile for a client or a homeowner matching trim in one room, we will mill the run that fits the work — no minimum-order barrier standing in the way.
Custom Millwork Across Texas and Louisiana
For twenty-seven years, Trinity Doors has run a full millwork and cabinet-door manufacturing operation from 1025 Rose City Drive in Vidor, Texas. That means the equipment and the experience to take a profile from a sample or a spec to finished, milled stock are already in the building — this is our everyday work, not a special favor.
We serve custom millwork orders for cabinet shops, contractors, builders, and homeowners throughout Southeast Texas and across the line into Louisiana. Because we are a manufacturer selling to both the trade and the general public, you do not need an account to order — just a clear description of the profile you want or a sample of the trim you need matched.
To start a custom millwork order, call (409) 783-0600 and tell us about the profile, the species, and the footage. We will confirm what we can mill and give you a lead time so you can plan the rest of the project around it.
